For all Soderville Baseball and Fastpitch families the volunteer fee is $50 per player this year
This volunteer fee applies to the first 2 children you register. You DO NOT pay a volunteer fee for the 3rd or more children in the same family.
Each family is required to volunteer for one 3 hour shift for each child the volunteer fee is paid for. If you have 1 child you will pay $50 and work one 3 hour shift. If you have 2 or more children you will pay $100 and work one 3 hour shift to get $50 back or two 3 hour shifts to get $100 back. You still volunteer once and receive your full fee back.
We will send out many emails as the season nears on how to sign up to volunteer. We will need many volunteers for concessions and fields and then there will be other miscellaneous tasks we will email about also.

Age Determining Date for 2018
Deciding which division your child is eligible to play can sometimes be confusing. To ease the confusion during registration, ask yourself how old will my child be on the age determining date in 2018? The age determining date for baseball is May 1st, 2018. So for example, if your child will be 7 or 8 as of May 1, 2018 they would play 8U (8 and under). Players may never play in a age division below their age level.
Rules for Playing Up a Level
Occasionally players request to play up a level from their age/grade. Each request is taken on an individual case by case basis.
The following criteria are applied:
1) The player has already completed playing one season at the previous age level.
2) The player has demonstrated the ability and maturity to play at a higher age level.
3) At the request of a Head Coach already coaching at the higher level.
4) A player can only move up if there is a spot available and not taking the spot of a player of age.
5) Special family considerations.
Attempts to move whole teams or parts of teams, either as a group or individually, will not be allowed.
The request to play up must be approved by the Junior or Senior Baseball Director, or both, if moving from the Junior to Senior division.
Any misrepresentation of age eligibility will result in the players forfeiture and their ability to continue play for the season.
Soderville Rec League is divided into two leagues, the Junior League and Senior League. Teams play at the 6U, 8U, 10U and 12U level in the Junior league. We have 13U, 15U, 16U, & 17U-19U age groups in the Senior League. Games are played primarily at Ham Lake City Park, Ham Lake Lions Park, East Bethel Booster Park. Some of the younger ages may play the occasional game at one of the three Ham Lake neighborhood parks, based on field scheduling and availability. Game times are typically 6:30pm. Our league season begins in April and games begin the first week of May.
More information for each league can be found by clicking on the appropriate selection in the main menu to the left.
