Reservation Dates and Times

  • During the baseball/softball season coaches can schedule building use for any night of the week.
  • M/W evenings will be reserved for baseball use and the times available will be 3:30-5; 5-6:30pm, 6:30-8:00pm and 8-9:30pm.
  • T/TH evenings will be reserved for fastpitch softball use and the times available will be 5-6:30pm, 6:30-8:00pm and 8:00-9:30pm.  But many T/Th are being used for the pitching clinic so these nights are not always available for teams.
  • Friday will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis; so baseball and softball teams can request those times.
  • Saturday and Sunday will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis in 90 minute increments.
  • There is a lock box to get in the building and you will be given that code at the time you schedule.

Practice Facility

The SBAA building is set up to be used as a practice facility for baseball and softball by SBAA members. Players are required to be with someone that coached during the previous season when using this facility.

Anyone that coached for SBAA during the previous season is able to use this space for practicing. You may only bring any players that were registered to play with SBAA this past season as we need to have a waiver on file for them. We would encourage you to bring more players than just your own children when you come.

There is equipment available for your use while at the building; pitching machine, batting cage, L-screen, t’s, etc.

Make sure to go over safety rules with the players upon arrival at the building. You will want to be very careful when children are swinging bats in an enclosed space.

Please do not throw hard balls against the walls.  Throwing should be done east/west, not north/south.

Anyone under 5 is not allowed in the building while players are practicing.

Do NOT practice in the warming house area

No eating or drinking is allowed in the cages

We are not your mother; if you make a mess, clean it up.  If you come for your reserved time and the area is already a mess; please contact Corryn Anderson @ 763-843-0774

Practicing at the new building:

Directions to the building:  Take 153rd east off hwy. 65; take first left into Ham Lake Park; then take first right into the parking lot.

Entering the building: go through the door on the east side of the building; when inside go to your right through the warming house; go through the gray door in the warming house to get to the practice facility.  Open the door carefully as there may be balls being thrown.  Parents and siblings will have to wait in the warming house or in their cars as there is not room in the practice facility for spectators for safety reasons.
