Registration Information for the 2017 Season

The 2016 registration for all Soderville Baseball age groups, 8U softball and 10U and 12U C traveling fastpitch softball will be February 1-28, 2017. 

Please note that the volunteer fee for Soderville Baseball and Softball is now $50; If you volunteer for SBAA for 3 hours once during the season (even if you have 2 kids we still just ask you to volunteer one time) doing concessions or fields or other misc. tasks then you receive that back.

Please note that the Fundraising fee for Soderville Baseball and Softball is now $50; When you register your child(ren) you will automatically pay for two fundraiser cards that are $25 each.  Those cards have coupons on them to area businesses and the intention is for you to sell those two cards to family or friends and in doing so receive your $50 back.

Registration for the 2017 season will be online from February 1 through February 28.   We prefer you pay by credit card to register online, but if you want to register online and pay by cash or check then please contact Corryn before you register.

 

Fundraising and Volunteering

A fundraiser and volunteer fee are part of the registration fee.  For more information on those programs click on the pages in the left menu; and more information on both programs will be sent out as soon as everyone is registered.  The fundraiser cards and instructions will be sent out in March and the volunteer sign up will begin in April.


2017 Registration; Soderville Baseball and In-house/Traveling Fastpitch Softball

Fees for the 2017 season are (cost includes $50 for the fundraiser fee and $50 for the volunteer fee).  See our Fundraiser and Volunteer pages for more information on those programs:

  • 6U Baseball:  $195
  • 8U Baseball: $225
  • 8U In-House Softball:  $225
  • 10U Baseball:  $235
  • 12U Baseball:  $235
  • 13U-19U Baseball:  $250
  • **10U-18U Traveling Fastpitch Softball (Moose, A and B level teams): $310
  • 10U and 12U C level Traveling Fastpitch Softball: $230 (a $70(approximately) uniform will also need to be purchased that your child will be able to wear more than one year). 
  • Traveling Fastpitch - There will also be an extra volunteer fee to be paid of $150 (check never to be cashed as long as you volunteer at a traveling tournament).

$30 3rd Child Family Discount - If you register 3 or more children through our association you will only pay $30 for those registrations. This includes your children that are playing for Blaine Traveling Baseball since they are part of our organization now.  This fee applies to the least expensive registration fees that would otherwise be applied (i.e. if you have a child playing in traveling softball, 10U baseball and 8U baseball, then the 8U baseball registration is the one that would be $30).  You will not be paying the fundraiser and volunteer fee on those children either.  If your least expensive player is also a traveling player you will still need to pay the traveling fees.  You may want to contact Corryn before registering if you are in this situation.

**Traveling Fastpitch Softball Note: There may also be additional uniform and tournament fees to pay once the teams are determined.  An additional volunteer fee will also be collected by your coach.

See the web page links above to get more information on what age group your child should register for.  It will also tell you the nights of the week you can expect to play based on the age group your child is registered for.

Plan for the season to begin the week of April  18th, depending on field conditions.  The season will end at the end of June or July, depending on when the tournament is for your child's league.

Game times will generally be at 6:30pm for Soderville baseball and 8U softball and 6:15pm for 10UC and 12UC traveling fastpitch.

 


Requesting a Refund of Your Registration Fee

A request for a refund of registration fees should be submitted in writing to the SBAA Operations Manager.  This can be done by mailing or emailing a written request stating the player's name, the reason for the refund, how you paid for registration (cash, check or credit card), the date you registered (if you know it) and the age group and league your child is registered for (i.e. 10U Baseball or Fastpitch).

Any request made before April 1 will be refunded at 90%.  A 50% refund will be given for requests received from April 1 to May 1 and a 25% refund for requests between May 1 and June 1.  Requests for refunds after June 1 will not receive a refund.  Refunds will be credited back in the same form of payment.

This refund policy does NOT apply to Traveling Fastpitch for Moose, A and B levels or Traveling Baseball; this is just for in-house baseball, 8U softball and the C Traveling Fastpitch teams.
