10U Baseball

League Description

Players must be 10 years old or younger as of May 1, 2017 in order to be eligible for this age group.

The 10 & under (10U) baseball division is the first division where the players begin to pitch, and the coaches manage the team from the bench. Players are introduced to walks, strikeouts, and stealing. This level is approaching "real" baseball.

**Practices and games are held on Tuesday and Thursday nights. All games are scheduled for 6:30pm on various fields in Ham Lake and East Bethel.

The season starts at the end of April (exact date depends on the weather) and goes until the year end tournament (see below).

10U Baseball 2017 Year End Tournament; Tenatively July 21-23

At the end of the season SBAA will set up and direct a tournament for the 10U teams. Typically we separate them into two tiers based on wins and losses for the season. The 1st and 2nd place teams in each tier will receive a trophy..

This 2016 season tournament is tentatively set to be played Friday, July 21st through Sunday, July 23rd at TBD.

10U Schedule

Fees for 10U Baseball

The cost to play 10U Baseball for the 2017 season will be a total of $235. This includes a registration fee of $135, a fundraiser fee of $50 and a volunteer fee of $50. The fundraiser and volunteer fee are both refundable to you. You will pay these fees on the first 2 children you register. If you register 3 or more children you will only pay a total of $30 for their total registration fee and you will not pay for the fundraiser or volunteer fee for those children. State Tournament Information;

There is a State Level Tournament held . The top teams from the in-house level year end tournament will have the opportunity to play in that tournament. The Tournament Director will notify the coaches of the teams that will be advancing on to this tournament. The team will be responsible for paying any gate fee that is required (usually $100).
